SAN RAMON, Calif. ()– NFL instructor as well as Northern California citizen Greg Knapp has died after he was hit by a car last weekend break in San Ramon, according to’s sports department.

The 58-year-old New york city Jets assistant instructor was combating for his life at a regional medical facility after he was struck by a cars and truck while riding his bike Saturday mid-day.

He died at the health center.

San Ramon Police Lt. Tami Williams stated Knapp, that resided in Danville, was riding down Doughtery Road just north of North King Road when he was hit by an automobile traveling parallel.

Lt. Williams states the chauffeur, a 22-year-old male, continued to be on scene and also accepted detectives. Now, authorities state alcohol and drugs do not seem an aspect.

Knapp was noted terminally ill at John Muir Medical Facility in Walnut Creek.

Prior to being hired by the Jets, he worked as violation organizer for numerous NFL groups consisting of the San Francisco 49ers, then the Oakland Raiders.

In a statement launched by his family members with the Jets, they state:

Knapp is made it through by his better half, Charlotte, as well as 3 daughters.
